Birds I’ve Caught With My Camera

I’m not really a birder but I have to admit that birds do fascinate me. From the little sparrows at my back-yard bird feeder to the herons in South Florida. They all capture my attention with their clown like antics. They seem to take on distinct personalities. Even individuals can sometimes be identified by how they interact with their own kind and other species…
American Bald Eagle:This female had one or two hatch-lings in the nest. I never did get a clear view of the babies but the mother was clearly tending to their needs.
Here are two herons found in Florida wetlands - The Great Blue Heron and a Yellow Crowned Night Heron:
This Red Bellied Woodpecker rules the bird feeder when he’s after his favorite — sun flower seeds:
We have a lot of wild turkey in our area. This is one of several local hens that frequently terrorize my dog:
